Cosmetic Dentistry

At Jordan View Dental, every healthy smile is a beautiful one! However, we understand if there are certain things about your teeth that you wish looked slightly different. If you are interested in knowing what can be done, ask Dr. Johnson or someone from our team what your options are. We will explain the pros and cons of each treatment for any given situation. Many times there are simple solutions to significantly improve the size, shape, or color of your teeth.

Veneers

In dentistry, a veneer refers to a thin, tooth-colored layer of material that attaches to the visible (front) surface of a tooth and is designed to improve appearance. Most of the time a veneer is made of extremely natural-looking porcelain or ceramic material, but it can also be made with composite resin material (used in fillings). Dental veneers can drastically improve the esthetics of front teeth that are smaller, misshaped, have gaps, or are discolored.

All-Ceramic Crowns

In cases where there is weak tooth structure, teeth-grinding, a non-ideal bite, or root canal treated teeth, all-ceramic crowns can also provide an improved smile and a more structurally solid support for each tooth. While their appearance is almost identical to veneers, they require more tooth preparation, use more durable materials, and cover the entire tooth.

Dental Bonding

Bonding is a conservative way to repair small chips, wear spots, discolorations, and gaps in your teeth. During this process, our team uses composite resin to restore the appearance and function of your smile. We can match the color of the bonded material to your existing healthy tooth, or we can make it lighter.

Teeth Whitening

If you want your natural teeth to be lighter, we recommend having custom take-home bleach trays made for your specific teeth. These trays, along with the specific low-cost whitening gel and instructions we give you, will give you the best result available to lighten your teeth and minimize post-whitening sensitivity. There are other options as well. If you have questions about whitening, please ask one of our team members!
